When we first stepped into our house and gallery, it spoke to us instantly. Inside felt complete. Outside was still waiting. What once was a quiet Belgian lawn is now a biodiverse garden, alive with bees, butterflies and birds.
Thanks to the help of Wim Peters / + who also introduced us to Velt vzw
This weekend, we open our garden for the Velt Eco Garden Days and in true Three Bays fashion we have five Belgian artists have placed their works throughout the space, where nature and art meet and grow together.

𝗛𝗲𝘁 𝗮𝗳𝘁𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻 𝗶𝘀 𝗻𝘂 𝗲𝗰𝗵𝘁 𝗯𝗲𝗴𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗻!

🌱 Dit weekend, 6 en 7 juni, stellen gepassioneerde tuineigenaars in Vlaanderen en Nederland hun tuinen open voor de Velt Eotuindagen 2026.

𝗩𝗮𝗻 𝗽𝗶𝗲𝗽𝗸𝗹𝗲𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗱𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗻 𝗲𝗻 𝗴𝗲𝘇𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝗲𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗻 𝘁𝗼𝘁 𝗴𝗶𝗴𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗶𝘀𝗰𝗵𝗲 𝘃𝗼𝗲𝗱𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗯𝗼𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗻: de variatie is enorm. Het is dé kans om in levende lijve te ontdekken hoe prachtig en haalbaar ecologisch tuinieren is.

Wij doen mee!

Noteer het weekend van 6 en 7 juni alvast in je agenda. Dan stellen meer dan 300 tuineigenaars in Vlaanderen en Nederland de deuren open voor publiek tijdens de Velt-ecotuindagen. Ook in Zoersel nemen tuinen deel. Kom een kijkje nemen en ontdek hoe je een tuin op een ecologische manier kan aanleggen...

Saturday is THE day!

In 2 more days ECOTOPIA 🌱officially opens its gates!

Three Bays Gallery presents Ecotopia – art in bloom, an exhibition that approaches the gallery’s ecological garden as a living sculpture: a place where soil, plants, insects, birds, people and art form a temporary ecosystem.

Within this context, we present sculptures and artworks by Xander Faes, Letterwerker, Anita Nevens, Stefaan Onraet, and Senne Roekens.

We are proud to announce our next artist of ECOTOPIA 🌱

Xander Faes lives and works in Antwerp. His current interest lies mainly in small, often overlooked in-between moments, moments of emptiness and pause that form a connection between two points or actions, where the emphasis usually lies. The work Intermezzo, for example, shows a brief, intimate moment: a short pause during the working process, in which one tidies up and reflects on what is taking shape. A fleeting moment that is often forgotten, yet essential within the artistic process. His sculptures are created using classical techniques and finished with contemporary materials.

We are excited to share with you our next artist of ECOTOPIA 🌱

Senne Roekens lives and works in Antwerp. His artistic practice stems from an ongoing dialogue with the history of sculpture and its contemporary continuation. His work explores states of transition, duration and deformation, focusing on the physical and temporal dimensions of sculptural form. Traces of material, process, and strain remain visible and form an integral part of the work. Roekens’ sculptures do not present themselves as closed forms, but as open structures in which past and present, stability and erosion, are held in relation.

We are thrilled to introduce our second artist of ECOTOPIA 🌱

Stefaan Onraet lives and works in Ghent. He creates abstract figures that nevertheless feel familiar and close. Silhouettes assembled from wood and steel come to life within the spatial landscapes in which he places them.

Tom is a brand designer working at the intersection of graphic design and video/motion/illustration for a variety of international clients.

During the Covid pandemic he shifted his focus to his personal artistic work. As a analog collage artist with a distinctive approach to collage and mixed media, his pieces blends artistic expression with self exploration. Using layers of eclectic paper scraps and various materials to navigate complex emotional landscapes, he invites viewers to engage with both the materials and the meanings behind them.
