✨ New year, same blue floor energy ✨

Throwing it back to SCOPE Miami Beach 2025 and the moments that made The Blue Floor Project so special — time spent with artists, conversations with SCOPE Director Hayley Smith, FUZE Director John Cox, panel talks, and all the in-between moments that reminded us why we do this.

Grateful for the community, the dialogue, and the magic that unfolded on (and beyond) the blue floor. Here’s to carrying that energy into 2026 and everything that’s still to come 💙

We are thrilled to award this year’s FUZE Artist Residency Prize — in partnership with — to Desmond Beach, represented by in Brooklyn, NY. 🎉

This residency celebrates and uplifts exceptional Caribbean and diasporic voices, strengthening international exchange and expanding the global presence of our region’s artists.

Beach’s multidisciplinary practice transforms historical pain into spaces of healing and power. Drawing from ancestral memory, African storytelling traditions, and the spiritual legacy of the “hush harbors” of the Black South, his work honors resilience while confronting the realities of anti-Blackness today. Through vibrant textiles, performance, and installation, he amplifies the voices of those too often erased — with beauty, with reverence, and with impact. 🖤

Desmond will join us in Nassau to create new work that will debut at FUZE Caribbean Art Fair 2026.

Please join us in celebrating this incredible artist and our continued partnership with SCOPE — championing Caribbean art on the world stage. 🌍🌴

Big moments on the Blue Floor 💙

Shepard Fairey () stopped by Booth E11 and signed his All a We poster (!!), Dede Brown () and Antonius Roberts () lit up the space beside their work, and we welcomed Katja and her group — excited to help carry Caribbean art even further 🌍

We also popped over to support our friends at TERN () at Untitled Art — because community stretches far beyond the blue 👣

Come stand with us, connect, and feel the energy — Booth E11 at Miami Beach. We’re here through Sunday ✨

A few close-up moments from The Blue Floor Project, Booth E11 — details you might have missed in the rush of opening day. 💙✨

All day, visitors have been describing the installation with the same words:
“Authentic.” “Powerful.” “Deep.” “Resonating.”
We couldn’t ask for a more meaningful response to the stories and voices shaping this year’s presentation.

If you haven’t visited yet, we’re here at SCOPE Art Show, Miami Beach all week. Step onto the Blue Floor and experience it for yourself.
