Medicine Wheel Workshop:
We all have so many demands on our time. Friends, family, school & work can make it difficult to make time for ourselves. This workshops encourages participants to look at their lives and how to take little steps to make it more balanced. Description: The Medicine Wheel teaches us the importance of balancing the Physical/Mental/Social/Spiritual self. Reviewing each quadran

t and examining where the unbalance is, participants learn about the benefits of balancing their own Wheel while making a small symbolic wheel of their own. Dream Catcher Workshop:
Many people suffer from lack of sleep. This workshop is aimed to bring balance and invite participants to consider their sleep patterns and sleep habits. Description: This workshop includes focusing on the importance of sleep and how we can consciously make sleep more of a priority. Healthy sleep patterns and a restful sleep increases productivity for all of us. Each participant will create their own Dream catcher while practicing mindfulness & gentleness. Learning to Smudge Workshop:
The Importance of mindfulness, letting go and quieting your thoughts is talked about in this workshop. It is a symbolic cleansing. As the smoke rises, negative energy, feelings, and emotions are lifted away. The smell of the burning medicines stimulates our brains to produce beta-endorphins, which are part of the normal healing process of our bodies. Smudging may also be used to cleanse & purify a special place or object. Description: We share our knowledge of smudging and how it can benefit our overall health and wellness. We explain which medicines are used and why we use them. We walk through how to smudge ourselves and the reasoning behind each action. Then we share an actual, or Symbolic ceremony if no smoke requested . Metis Finger weaving:
In this workshop we will teach participants not only how to finger weave using the Metis technique but the importance of intertwining culture with modern day. Description: We can learn about our past while still moving into the future. We use a PowerPoint presentation with a hands on lesson. We connect the colours of the sash with the colours of medicine wheel. Teaching the importance of balance and self-care.The end result is a wrap friendship bracelet with the colours of the Metis sash. Traditional Drum Making:
In this workshop each participant makes their own Elk hide drum and drum stick. We start with an opening circle. During the session we listen to the woman warrior song. This is a very special session. A smudge ceremony is preformed once the drums are completed. (Deposit on materials is requested at time of booking.) This could be a full day session with traditional lunch provided. contact us for information. Traditional Food :
