After spending the winter months safely berthed at HMC Dockyard, HMCS Sackville returned to its summer home on the Halifax waterfront on April 28th. Every spring the ship makes a short journey back to Sackville Landing, and every spring it's a reminder that Canada's last surviving Flower-class corvette is still here and still standing watch over the harbour it has called home for over 40 years. The ship be open to the public beginning June 26th, right here at 1655 Lower Water Street beside the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic. Come down, step aboard, and see it for yourself. There is no better way to understand what the Battle of the Atlantic actually meant than to stand on the deck of the ship that was there.
