We are honored to present an emblematic work by Prisca Munkeni Monnier Lafurie: Hosties Noires.

This powerful title directly references the poetry of Léopold Sédar Senghor and offers a profound meditation on sacrifice, memory, and redemption within diasporic history and identity. The artist uses the visual medium to transform pain into an act of consecration, questioning how bodies and legacies are offered and received in the contemporary narrative.

⚔️ THE EXETER DYPTICH | A STATEMENT OF RESISTANCE ⚔️

We proudly present the new diptych by Prisca Munkeni Monnier Lafurie, a monumental reflection on conflict, disillusionment, and resilience.

The Artwork : EXETER [chapitre I] and EXETER [chapitre II]
This two-part installation—Soldier with the Gaze of the Mona Lisa and Dreams and Whirlwinds—uses stark figuration and philosophical depth to convey the invisible battles of the modern condition. The artist gives voice to the internal struggle through this profound text:

“I am a soldier at War; my enemies are invisible and ruthless. They left me here like Don Quixote, battling against dust devils. All by myself, consuming my ration, caged in a blood-red metallic box, smilingly shipped from overseas, compelled to fight wars that aren’t mine! Peace is elusive when all you’ve ever known is the sound of sweet gunshots and blood. Yet, I stand here... resisting with my 'sh*tty happiness.' My clenched fist raised on one arm, a fake weapon resting on the other..."

This powerful work challenges the viewer to confront the hidden costs of global conflict and the strange duality of finding joy amidst chaos.

Kub'Art Gallery & Galerie Carole Kvasnevski Présentent

‼️EXPOSITION ‼️

Fragments d’identité : Entre introspection et héritage culturel met en scène deux artistes, Alegria Blue et Esther Mido, pour une réflexion essentielle sur l’identité contemporaine.
Avec sa série Défragmentation, Alegria Blue plonge dans l’inconscient collectif, explorant le point de rencontre entre mémoire intime et mémoire partagée. Ses toiles, qui oscillent entre visible et invisible, révèlent par fragments la profondeur de la condition humaine.
Esther Mido, quant à elle, interroge la condition féminine et le poids des héritages culturels. Ses œuvres, puissamment marquées par le symbole des « chaînes en or », soulignent l'ambivalence de la transmission et l'urgence de rebâtir ses fondations intérieures avant de s'ouvrir au monde.
Leurs pratiques entrent en dialogue pour ouvrir un espace à la fois sensible et critique : celui des fractures et, surtout, des forces créatrices qui nous animent. L’exposition promet ainsi un voyage intime et collectif, où l’art se mue en lieu de mémoire, de réparation et de réconciliation.

Une expérience visuelle et émotionnelle à ne pas manquer !!!
