After messaging Leo Harley-Davidson and notifying them that their webpage and **history section** completely omitted my father, I received a rather surprising email in response. So, I decided to create this page. In 2017, my father was interviewed in *Revolution Motorcycle Magazine*, where he shared a lot about the history, the beginnings, and the struggles they faced when they first started the shop. I’m not sure whose decision it was to omit him, but I feel it’s important to share the full history behind the shop and to recognize the two owners who built it together.
You can’t just erase history to fit your own narrative. It’s actually insulting to both of their legacies and to the truth.

Thank you for your message and for taking the time to explore the “Our History” section of Léo Harley-Davidson.

We completely understand how the absence of certain key figures can be disappointing. Your father’s contribution as a mechanic and partner of Mr. Léo Bouchard during the early days of our journey was indeed valuable, and we are truly grateful for it.

When we set out to tell the story of Léo Harley-Davidson’s 50-year legacy, we had to make some difficult editorial choices in order to present a concise and coherent narrative. Unfortunately, this meant that some important individuals could not be mentioned by name. As an example, several of our current team members have been with us for more than 15, even 20 years — and yet, they too are not featured in this overview. It is not a matter of oversight or lack of recognition, but simply a necessary editorial decision.

That said, we are deeply committed to honoring all those who have shaped our company.

Thank you again for your understanding and for your continued connection to the Léo Harley-Davidson family.
