Germán Taibo González was born in A Coruña and died in Paris. His family moved to Argentina when he was very young. In Buenos Aires, after demonstrating his artistic talents, he began his academic training at the School of Fine Arts in the capital. It was then that he met a Parisian lady living in Argentina, whose name we have not preserved, who decided to finance the studies of the young Taibo at the prestigious Académie Julian in Paris. A private entity, founded in 1860 by the painter Rodolphe Julian, which had renowned teachers who were in tune with a teaching system that supported the expressive freedom of its students, among whom we can find Marcel Duchamp, Matisse, Eduard Manet, or Claud Monet.
