Zwischen Bewegung und Stillstand, Sehnsucht und Ungewissheit entfaltet sich eine vielschichtige abstrakte Komposition. Zurückhaltende Grau- und Erdtöne treffen auf Akzente in Koralle und Schwarz, während Linien, Brüche und Überlagerungen immer neue Wege durch das Bild eröffnen.

„Chasing that life N° 5“ erzählt vom Streben nach etwas, das sich nicht eindeutig benennen lässt – von Hoffnung, Veränderung und den vielen Schichten unserer inneren Gefühlswelt.

Between movement and stillness, longing and uncertainty, a multilayered abstract composition unfolds. Subtle shades of grey and earth tones meet accents of coral and black, while lines, interruptions and overlapping structures create ever-changing paths through the work.

“Chasing that life N° 5” reflects the pursuit of something that cannot quite be defined – a journey shaped by hope, change and the many layers of our inner emotional world.

What I particularly like about this small collage is the interplay between the rough textures and the fluid acrylic paint—the way the materials overlap and blend, leaving behind their own unique traces.

LOOSE ENDS, N° 02 10 26
Yesterday, I wasn’t yet sure if this painting was finished.
I liked the black-and-gray “crown.” But not in this painting. It was too dominant, too restless—simply too much.
So I reworked it and altered the composition. Now it feels right to me.
Not because everything is perfect. The little breaks and inconsistencies remain. I like them. A completely smooth image, resolved down to the last detail, would probably bore me quickly.
Now it is finished. With all its loose ends.

Gestern war ich mir noch nicht sicher, ob dieses Bild fertig ist.
Die schwarz-graue „Krone“ gefiel mir. Aber nicht in diesem Gemälde. Sie war zu dominant, zu unruhig, einfach zu viel.
Also habe ich sie überarbeitet und die Komposition verändert. Jetzt stimmt es für mich.
Nicht, weil alles perfekt ist. Die kleinen Brüche und Ungereimtheiten sind geblieben. Ich mag sie. Ein vollkommen glattes, bis ins Letzte aufgelöstes Bild würde mich vermutlich schnell langweilen.
Jetzt ist es fertig. Mit allen losen Enden.

I was just in the studio, pasting in some collage elements. I sat there for quite a while afterward, wondering if it was finished. It isn’t perfect... but that’s exactly what interests me: the beauty of the imperfect. That is so much more compelling than a perfect painting. Many people might not like it or find it beautiful, but that was never what drew me to my paintings. What do you think about ?
