Located in the middle of the Perigord’s famed ‘golden triangle’ between Sarlat la Caneda, Montignac and Les Eyzies de Tayac. Les Cèdres du Linard,We offer 4 large bedrooms; all have supersize king beds. 2 bedrooms have en-suite bathroom, the other two bedrooms (let as a family unit) share the luxuriously appointed tower bathroom. All rooms have seating areas complete with tea and coffee making fac

ilities. Continental breakfast is served either at the farmhouse table in the Great room, or under the covered south facing terrace, or for morning sun lovers at the east facing open terrace. Breakfast comprises a selection of yogurts, cereals, fruits, jams, pastries, continental meats and cheeses served with juices, tea or freshly ground coffee. We are situated in the hamlet of Linard, 3km south of the village of La Chapelle-Aubareil in the Périgord Noir region of New Aquitaine (Black Périgord is named after the dark foliage of the regions abundant oak and pine forests). Located in the middle of the Perigord’s famed ‘golden triangle’ between Sarlat la Caneda, Montignac and Les Eyzies de Tayac, the area is renowned for its scenic beauty, rich history, culture, gastronomy and amazing places to visit (a few listed below are just a stone’s throw away) including Chateau’s, medieval market towns, picturesque villages, caves and pre-historic sites. Places to visit:
• Sarlat la Caneda – medieval market town and capital of Périgord Noir.
• Montignac – small town on the Vézère river.
• Lascaux IV Visitor Centre – prehistoric cave paintings (replica).
• Castel Merle – prehistoric site with the highest concentration of prehistoric deposits in Europe.
• Castle Commarque – 12th century stronghold of the Knights Templar.
• Abri de Cap Blanc – rock shelter with prehistoric sculptures of horses and bison.
• Font-de-Gaume – prehistoric cave paintings.
• Les-Eyzies-de-Tayac – French National Museum of Prehistory.
• La Maison Forte de Reignac – fortified medieval house built into the cliff.
• La Roque Saint Christophe – troglodyte cliff village.
• La Roque-Gageac – medieval village and cliff fort.
• Castle Beynac – medieval stronghold of the Baronies of Périgord.
