A huge thank you to Rachel for all her support during my first RHS Wisley experience. You helped in so many ways and definitely made the pack down a much smoother process than the set up!
I'm feeling so blessed to be part of the amazing Uk Glass Art Collective . This is turning out to be way more supportive and meaningful than I ever imagined and I love you all for the beautiful people you are.
Was RHS Wisley worth the investment? If I'm to be honest, possibly not initially BUT, that was nothing to do with the event itself. It didn't help that the M25 has major roadsworks outside the junction and it definitely didn't help that we had 3 days of rain! Even RHS was discounting admission fees due to the event being approximately 50% down. Many people didn't sell anything or cover their fees.
The positives....
I sold way more than any other exhibition I've taken part of.
If I got £1 for every WOW, sensational, stunning, outstanding, I've never seen anything like your work before, beautiful, striking, etc, then I'd have taken several thousands.
I got the reaction and confirmation I was hoping for 😊
I met some wonderful glass artists and each and everyone were so complimentary and supportive.
I made friends with some amazing talented artists and craftsmen.
I gained some great tips from other regular RHS exhibitors.
Not one person could believe it was my first major show because apparently my stand looked really professional and looked like it'd been doing it for years.
I'll be even more prepared for the next event now that I've experienced the set up and packdown experience that all has to be done in a strict and short timescale.
I got to spend time with another fabulous member of the UK Glass Art Collective, Rachel Craig. I was made so welcome while i stayed in her beautiful home. I got to meet her wonderful family and we got to know each other properly ❤️
