Nicolaus Copernicus was a Polish astronomer who put forth the theory that the Sun is at rest near the center of the Universe, and that the Earth, spinning on its axis once daily, revolves annually around the Sun!☀️ 🌍

There are records that this ACTUAL bust was displayed at ‘The Crystal Palace’ in Sydenham, the Great Exhibition, one of the greatest shows of all time in 1852!

Dated the 2nd half of the 19th century during Charles Darwin times of Entomological (Entomology) and Carcinological (Carcinology) interest, a detailed cast bronze pairing of a stag beetle and a crayfish mounted upon an Italian, yellow, siena marble bases.
