We're super excited to be launching heritage grants schemes in Louth and Wragby and continuing our work in Horncastle!

Keep an eye out on our socials and website for updates including how local businesses can express interest in the schemes!

A new funding scheme which aims to transform the historic environment and boost the local economy through investment in Louth, Wragby and Horncastle’s historic shopping areas is now open to applications.

Funded through the East Lindsey Investment Fund (ELIF), the Heritage Grant Scheme will be administered by Heritage Lincolnshire and will offer medium and small grants to retail businesses in the market towns for the repair and reinstatement of their historic buildings.

Eligible works include exterior works to shopfronts, signage, improvement of the appearance of upper floors and the reinstatement of historic features. There is also funding to improve public areas and funding to explore future investment and development options for vacant or neglected sites in these areas.

All three towns are designated as Conservation Areas and are currently included in the National Heritage At Risk Register, but it is hoped that with targeted investment and improvements they can be removed 🤞

Heritage Open Days is always a busy time for the Heritage Team!

This week we have held events at Greyfriars, in Skegness and Mablethorpe, visited Sutton in Ashfield and Barton-upon-Humber.

We still have events left in Lincoln (with Historic Buildings & Places) at the Wonky House and Greyfriars, an exhibition in Grimsby and at the bunker in Holbeach.

As part of the Heritage Open Days festival (11th- 20th Sept 2026) there is an opportunity to join us on the 15th of September to celebrate the completion of our National Lottery Heritage Fund supported project at the former United Reformed Church in Barton Upon Humber!
We will be hosting two free arts and craft sessions where you can make your own pop up cards. Sessions will be held from 10am-12 noon and 1pm-3pm and booking is essential. To secure your place please visit ↙

Join us and learn about the Town Centre Transformation Project, the history of the buildings around the town and find out about the Lincolnshire Seaside Trump Cards.
