FROM START TO FINISH.

Art takes patience. Nothing comes together all at once, it builds slowly, layer by layer. There’s a process to it, and it can be mentally challenging at times. There’s always a hurdle somewhere along the way as well, but with patience and persistence, everything eventually falls into place.

I took my time with these pieces and really enjoyed the journey from start to finish.

Once a commission is complete and exactly how the client wants it, it’s always important for me to take that pressure off and create something for myself, and that’s what I’ll be doing next.

Featuring Edinburgh’s one and only professional female boxer Frances Heath with coach Kenny McCartney from Craigmillar Boxing Club

I really enjoyed working on these, bringing out both the bond between boxer and coach, and also the intensity and movement of fight night.

A total pleasure to paint from start to finish.

Thank you, Frankie Heath, for trusting me to turn such a brilliant memory into something lasting on canvas.
