🏆🎉 SHE’S ONLY GONE AND WON! 🎉🏆
We are absolutely delighted and incredibly proud to share that our very own Jane Kibble won Best Employee at the Herefordshire Business Awards 2026!
Held last night at Lyde Court, it was a wonderful evening celebrating with Jane and recognising the fantastic people and businesses that make Herefordshire so special. Jane has been an integral part of Loo of The Year Awards Ltd for 10 years, and we could not be prouder to see her hard work, dedication and commitment recognised in this way. She is such an important part of our team, and this award is so thoroughly deserved.
Behind every successful business is a great team, and Jane is a perfect example of that. Her knowledge, support and dedication make such a difference to what we do, and we are incredibly lucky to have her as part of the Loo of the Year Awards family.
We had the loveliest evening celebrating with Jane, and this is a moment we will remember for a long time!
A huge congratulations to all the finalists and winners across every category. It was fantastic to see so much talent, passion and achievement being celebrated across Herefordshire.

We are really looking forward to being part of The Care Show at New College Swindon tomorrow, 10 October! As well as exhibiting, I am delighted to be one of the keynote speakers, sharing why away-from-home washrooms are so important in the care sector, particularly for older and disabled people, and how the right facilities can protect dignity, independence and quality of life. ✨ What an incredible experience at the European Cleaning & Hygiene Awards 2026! ✨🇪🇺

We are on our way back from the beautiful Palma de Mallorca feeling incredibly proud, inspired and honoured to have been shortlisted as a finalist in the Best Initiative Raising the Profile of the Cleaning Sector category, especially as this was our very first time entering these prestigious awards! 🏆👏

To say we were blown away to be named finalists is an understatement! To be sitting in a room with guests from across Europe, all coming together to celebrate the achievements, innovation and dedication of those working across the cleaning and hygiene sector, was truly special.

Although we did not take home the trophy this time, being recognised on a European stage for the work we do through Loo of the Year Awards means so much to us.

Our mission has always been to celebrate excellence, recognise the amazing people behind the scenes and help raise the profile of an industry that plays such a vital role in all our lives. To see that work acknowledged alongside so many outstanding organisations from across Europe was a real pinch-me moment!

A huge thank you to Michelle Marshall and the team at European Cleaning Journal for organising such a fantastic awards programme and a wonderful event. Bringing together so many passionate people from across Europe to celebrate our industry and its achievements is no small feat, and we feel privileged to have been part of it. Thank you for making us feel part of such a special occasion!

For our first time entering, to make the shortlist is something we’re incredibly proud of and it has only strengthened our passion and determination to keep championing the cleaning and hygiene sector.

A massive congratulations to all the winners, finalists and everyone recognised on the night. What an inspiring group of people to be among!

We may not have brought home the trophy, but we certainly brought home fantastic memories, immense pride and even more motivation to keep flying the flag for our industry!

Here’s to celebrating the people, places and initiatives that make a difference, and to continuing to put the spotlight on the incredible work happening across our sector.

A huge thank you for the invitation to represent the Loo of The Year Awards at the European Cleaning & Facility Services Industry Connect 26 at Hotel Palma Bellver in Palma de Mallorca. 🇪🇸

It was a real pleasure to join such a fantastic gathering for a networking lunch, followed by an insightful panel and engaging interactive discussion.

I am especially grateful for the opportunity to meet so many ECFI members, Circle participants, and stakeholders from across Europe’s cleaning and facility services sector. It was wonderful to connect, exchange perspectives, share experiences, and hear different voices from across our industry.

Thank you to everyone who made the event so welcoming and worthwhile. I’m looking forward to continuing the conversations and building on the connections made in Palma.

What an incredible list of women to be part of! ⭐
I am absolutely delighted to be named as a finalist for Most Inspiring Businesswoman alongside 10 truly inspiring women, each with their own story, challenges and achievements.
Being a business owner is certainly not always the smoothest of journeys. There have been plenty of highs, plenty of challenges and a fair few moments of wondering what on earth we were doing!
But looking back at how far we have come with Loo of the Year Awards Ltd, I am incredibly proud of what we have built, the team around us and, most importantly, the difference we are continuing to make through something as important as away-from-home washrooms. I am especially proud to be recognised alongside such an amazing group of women. Every finalist has a story worth celebrating.
Thank you to the judges and to Amanda FitzGerald PR for sponsoring this category. For me, business has never been about doing it alone. It is about the people around you, the lessons you learn, picking yourself up when things do not go to plan and continuing to move forward. Very proud to be a finalist.

NEW CHAPTER FOR LOO OF THE YEAR AWARDS!;
Today, 1 October 2026, we are absolutely delighted to welcome Gareth David to the Loo of the Year Awards team as our new Business Development amp; Growth Lead!
Gareth brings with him a wealth of experience, knowledge and understanding of the cleaning, hygiene and facilities management industry, along with a fantastic network and a genuine passion for the industry we are proud to be part of.
As we head towards an incredibly exciting milestone, the 40th year of the Loo of the Year Awards in 2027, the timing could not be better.
Our ambition has always been bigger than simply presenting awards. We want to continue developing LOTYA as the UK’s leading independent washroom standards scheme, helping organisations understand, measure and improve their away-from-home washrooms, while raising awareness of the importance of cleanliness, accessibility, dignity and good standards for everyone.
Gareth’s industry knowledge and experience will be hugely valuable as we develop new relationships, strengthen existing ones and explore new opportunities for LOTYA to grow and make an even greater impact across the UK and Ireland.
There is a lot happening behind the scenes as we prepare for our 40th year and Gareth is joining us at exactly the right time.We are incredibly excited about what the future holds and cannot wait to see what we can achieve together.Welcome to the team, Gareth! 👏
