🌀✨ ARTIST LAUNCH | CHARLOTTE FORMOSA✨🌀📍 Cardiff-based | Celtic and Nature inspired Artist 🔍 Close-up sneak peeks

Exhibition runs from 10th Aug - 28th Sep 2025

We’re thrilled to introduce the wonderful Charlotte Formosa ( ) whose current work is steeped in folklore, nature, and ancestral storytelling.
Her latest piece, “Ceridwen And The Cauldron”, is the next solo exhibition at the gallery — hand-painted, hand-stitched flag on linen, inspired by the Welsh tale of Ceridwen and the Cauldron from The Mabinogion.

🌿 About the WorkThis piece explores the animal transformations in the myth of Ceridwen—an enchantress whose story speaks of magic, metamorphosis, and deep wisdom. Charlotte chose the blue colour as a nod to woad, the ancient Celtic body-paint, and linen for its historical roots in Celtic clothing.

The theme of the gallery is ‘Connection’ and Charlotte explores this through the Celtic’s shared love of storytelling.

Charlotte’s journey—from art school to commissions across Australia, Colombia, Mexico, the USA, and back to Wales—has shaped a practice that’s both global and deeply rooted in heritage.
Through this work, she invites the people of Kirriemuir (and beyond) to glimpse the magic of Welsh folklore and reflect on the power of shared stories.
