đ⨠ARTIST LAUNCH | CHARLOTTE FORMOSAâ¨đďż˝đ Cardiff-based | Celtic and Nature inspired Artist đ Close-up sneak peeks

Weâre thrilled to introduce the wonderful Charlotte Formosa ( ) whose current work is steeped in folklore, nature, and ancestral storytelling.
Her latest piece, âCeridwen And The Cauldronâ, is the next solo exhibition at the gallery â hand-painted, hand-stitched flag on linen, inspired by the Welsh tale of Ceridwen and the Cauldron from The Mabinogion.
đż About the Workďż˝This piece explores the animal transformations in the myth of Ceridwenâan enchantress whose story speaks of magic, metamorphosis, and deep wisdom. Charlotte chose the blue colour as a nod to woad, the ancient Celtic body-paint, and linen for its historical roots in Celtic clothing.
The theme of the gallery is âConnectionâ and Charlotte explores this through the Celticâs shared love of storytelling.
Charlotteâs journeyâfrom art school to commissions across Australia, Colombia, Mexico, the USA, and back to Walesâhas shaped a practice thatâs both global and deeply rooted in heritage.
Through this work, she invites the people of Kirriemuir (and beyond) to glimpse the magic of Welsh folklore and reflect on the power of shared stories.
