Rebel : 30 Years of London Fashion - Congratulations to Sarah Mower & Rebecca Lewin for curating a spectacular show at the Design Museum London. The exhibition chronicles the London designers who participated in the British Fashion Council’s “New Gen” project over the last 30 years. There are over a hundred pieces, glimpses back stage, interactive elements, images, music. The in depth detailed analysis creates a strong, inspiring visual feast that captures all the elements that give British Fashion its unique identity. Sophia’s outfit from her AW2002/03 Collection still looks relevant and ultra cool today. Rebel is a show that definitely deserves a visit!

Today we laid to rest the artist & family friend Paula Rego. Paula & Sophia shared bond & mutual respect for each other’s work. Both Mediterranean women, at a young age they chose London as a home and vehicle to pursue their creative path. They lived lives full of the same strength, joy, laughter, integrity without apologies or compromise. Their passion for creating was their driving force, with shared fascination in the darker side to life, they both believed in portraying the strength and dignity of women. I hope they are now together somewhere sharing a glass of wine and making mischief.
