JD Malat Gallery is pleased to present CODA, a new series of six paintings by Henrik Aa. Uldalen, at KIAF Seoul (Booth A27).

Taking its title from the musical term for the passage that brings a composition to its close, CODA explores grief as a shifting emotional landscape, moving through desperation, lamentation, numbness, emptiness, and, ultimately, the possibility of acceptance.

Ghanian artist Kojo Marfo developed his interest in art and visual culture through traditional Akan artifacts, sculptures and carvings that he was exposed to as a child growing up in Ghana. Through his extensive travels and references to traditional Akan art, Marfo has developed a unique style that seeks to explore a self-referential perspective of the Black image by creating figurative abstractions that showcase the beauty woven into Africa’s social and geographical fabric.

Visual artist and photographer Yousif Albadi’s practice explores the relationship between humanity and its surrounding environments, examining the subtle dialogue between nature, architecture, urban space, light, and shadow.

Through carefully composed imagery, he transforms ordinary spaces into poetic reflections on memory, presence, and belonging.
