In celebration of the final week of The Long Now, we’ve collaborated with performance artist Hannah Mason to explore the boundary between the observer and the art.

In a literal interpretation of “losing oneself” in a gallery, Hannah transitions from being a typical visitor into a surreal interaction, ‘falling’ into the artworks.

To mark the final weeks of The Long Now: Saatchi Gallery at 40, ticket prices have been reversed back to their 80s equivalent. The offer runs from today, Thursday 16 to Monday 20 April.

Less than two weeks remain to see this “brilliant showcase of the Gallery’s decades-long passion for contemporary art” ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

It’s also one of the last chances to experience Richard Wilson’s iconic 20:50 before it leaves the Gallery again. A striking installation of black engine oil that transforms the space into a dark, mirror-like illusion.

From taxidermy to trompe l’oeil nail artistry, her sculptures use snakeskins and polystyrene packaging to explore the tension between reality and the false narratives of our digital age.
These intricate works offer a surreal reflection on isolation, standing as haunting reminders of a world caught between the organic and the manufactured.

Ryan Mosley invites us into a world where the past and present collide on a grand scale.

From top hats to musical intruments, his canvases are filled with “pictorial cues” that weave together art history, class commentary, and a touch of the surreal.

In his latest works, Mosley’s process is as captivating as his subjects. He uses his brush like a pencil - building rich, theatrical spaces through layers of translucent washes that create a unique, batik-like quality.

The result? A series of fantastic, whimsical scenes that feel both timeless and entirely of the moment.
