Hannes Schauer’s work investigates the multifaceted dimensions of nature, extended beyond its realm, in order for us to synchronise internally with nature. The artist envisions a symbolic space outside the established world, allowing irrational behaviours beyond known concepts of space and time. This transitional place, where everything is possible and limitless, mirrors Hannes's studio in both the physical and metaphysical aspect.

As a graduate student at the University of Vienna, Julian Voss-Andreae was part of Anton Zeilinger’s team - later awarded the 2022 Nobel Prize - that conducted a landmark quantum mechanics experiment in 1999. They showed that large molecules like C-60 “Buckyballs” can display quantum interference. Follow-up studies revealed how environmental factors, like infrared light or gas, gradually suppress this behavior through decoherence - the process by which the classical world emerges from the quantum.

"To my mind, the piece is a 'closed environment' where the fabric is a terrain of sorts, while colour and light function as weather and atmosphere. In this interplay, perception becomes a part of each piece, changing how the work is seen and experienced depending on where and when the viewer stands." - Zak

Christian Hiadzi’s arresting figurative works explore emotional tension between representational portraiture and the beauty of unsettling abstract portraiture caught within the ordinary. The core of his practice becomes a catalyst to challenge and enhance the viewer’s imagination. Utilising acrylic, oil and charcoal, his works oscillate between heavily worked, textured colourful figures and recently dark skin figures, executed through the use of brushes and palette knife.

'The Glitched Sublime', Maja Petrić

Presented during SXSW London 2026, Specimens of Time: The Glitched Sublime enters into conversation with the festival's focus on artificial intelligence, automation, and the future of human experience. In contrast to much of today's generative AI culture, the exhibition proposes a different trajectory for technology, one centred on ecological memory, embodied experience, and reconnection with the living world.
Alongside the exhibition, Petrić will present Art, Tech & Nature: The Glitched Sublime at SXSW London on Wednesday, 3 June, from 11:40 to 12:10 at Protein Studios (Stage 2). She will also appear on the panel Worldbuilding for the Senses: When Art Meets Experience Meets Brand on Thursday, 4 June, from 16:10 to 16:50 at Truman Brewery (Truman Stage 1).

Vladinsky declares that the power of expression is currently minimised under the threat of repression, which steers his spontaneity to determine the outcome of his compositions by allowing the paintbrush to take complete control of the canvas.

Upcoming:
'The Glitched Sublime', Maja Petrić

This exhibition presents a system that responds directly to environmental change. Working with real-time data, Petrić has built a custom process that translates shifting conditions in the natural world into physical form. The system tracks environmental conditions in regions where Arctic poppies bloom. When these conditions exceed the limits of their survival, the system activates. It does not interpret or simulate. It responds. The works in this exhibition are the result of that response.

Contemporary multi-media artist Gordon Cheung has developed an innovative approach to making art, which blurs virtual and actual reality to reflect on the existential questions of what it means to be human in civilisations with histories written by victors.
