This photograph shows Ashton Road, Droylsden in the 1960s, featuring Ridings Furniture Supermarket (formerly the Palace Cinema), Butlers Decorators, and R. Godwin’s. The row of houses to the right of the shops has since been demolished and replaced by a schoolyard.
