Since opening the art gallery, my painting practice has taken the back seat as I establish a rhythm to my exhibition schedule and daily tasks. I take the responsibility of representing other artists very seriously and am doing my utmost to present artwork in the best possible way, meeting the needs of my customers whilst advertising and promoting the gallery. It’s a lot. So my own painting has happened on the quiet days when the gallery is closed, when homelife is steady and I can immerse myself in the uninterrupted freedom of creating. This latest series is small with just 5 completed paintings but full of optimism, uplifting colour and lively movement. They’re currently presented in the Golden Hour exhibition at my gallery Charlotte Keating Art Gallery Newent alongside some very talented artists. Open 10-4pm Weds - Sat. I’ll show you some finished pieces soon
