The museum is open this autumn.

The Agricultural and Fell Pony Museum is open and free to visit this Autumn. Home to an eclectic collection of farm equipment which Robert McCosh started collecting in the 1970's when he noticed they were being replaced by more modern means of farming; it gives a fascinating insight into a time gone by.

The Agricultural Museum is open by appointment here at Dalemain. It is full of historic farm equipment, pony carts, Fell Pony memorabilia and film sets from when Dalemain was the location for the orphanage in ITV's 1997 version of Jane Eyre. Contact the office to book your visit now.

The Romans moved north to occupy the northern part of Britain circa CE 79 and remained in control until ~CE 420.
