Still a few more days to view this superb exhibition at Sou'-Sou'-West Arts Gallery. We’ve been fortunate to preview many of Shirley’s new pieces and it’s definitely worth a visit!

GATHERED CONTOURS EXHIBITION
Rooted in the wild and ancient terrain of Dartmoor, Gathered Contours brings together two artists whose practices are shaped by the same elemental landscape — its moorlands, its coastlines, and ever-shifting light.
Landscape painter Shirley Kirkcaldy and ceramicist Caroline Aisher both live and work on Dartmoor in Devon, and it is this shared geography — together with the sea-worn edges of Devon and Cornwall — that forms the quiet conversation at the heart of this exhibition. Though distinct in medium and approach, their work shares a sensitivity to place: a feeling for contour, texture, sky and water.
On show July 24th - August 11th, Sou Sou West gallery, Symondsbury, Dorset.

We are delighted to present the work of Matt Pooley - the latest addition to our gallery family!

Matt Pooley is a landscape artist originally from Plymouth and now based in West Yorkshire. Working in acrylics and oils, he is inspired by the landscapes of Yorkshire, the Lake District and Scotland. His paintings are rooted in time spent outdoors, exploring and sketching the places that inspire his work.

We have a wonderful collection of Matt’s original work and limited edition prints in the gallery.
