Newby Hall near Ripon in North Yorkshire looking splendid in the early Auutumn sunshine.
A grade I listed building which sits surrounded by beautiful gardens on the banks of the River Ure.
It's as beautiful on the inside as it is on the outside and is well worth a visit.

This is a fantastic viewing point from the end of Henderson Park where you can see the river Tweed winding below. From here you are in Scotland but England is just across the other side of the river. In fact half of the width of the river is Scotland and the other half is England. The salmon in this river can swim from country to country in a second without realising it!

The Coldstream Guards get their name from here. They were founded in 1650.
Their motto is 'Nulli secundus' which means 'Second to none'.
The town is home to the Coldstream Guard museum which was formerly the headquarters of the regiment.

If you visit Northumberland you should definitely stop by at The Percy Arms for lunch or dinner.
It's a traditional country pub situated in the heart of Chatton village and it serves the most delicious food.
It's dog-friendly too! ☺️

Sunny Seahouses in the evening sun 😎🌞
From the harbour here you can take boat trips to the Farne Islands where you can spot all sorts of wildlife and birds including seals and puffins.
The beach here has the whitest of sand backed by grassy sand dunes and is often almost deserted.

An area of outstanding natural beauty it is twinned with Warkworth in New Zealand which is named after it.
