A glimpse into my Elemental Collection 🌋

Inspired by the raw forces of nature — heat, pressure, erosion and transformation. Layers of texture, movement and colour explore landscapes in formation, where destruction meets renewal.

Not quite landscapes. More a feeling of what lies beneath the surface.

Raw. Tactile. Elemental.

I enjoy mark making with ink 🫟 Because it’s an absolute nuisance! lol

Some stories aren’t written - they’re left behind in marks.

Alongside my work “Tidal Memory” I wrote this piece exploring the relationship with the tide, memory and impermanence.

Two expressions of the same concept - one written, one visual. Swipe through to read “What the Tide Remembers” - also coming out on exhibition soon….

The making of TIDAL MEMORY 🌊

Coffee. Ink. Tidal water. Sand.

An experiment in letting nature become part of the creative process.

No brushes. No predetermined outcome. Just the elements interacting, leaving their traces behind.

I responded to what was left, preserving the deposits, marks and memories of the process.

A collaboration with nature, where chance becomes part of the artwork.

TIDAL MEMORY is now on exhibition at the Levinsky Gallery, University of Plymouth, as part of Before & After: Fragments of Origin 11-5pm: 9-18th Oct

What does the tide remember?
