Looking for something to do this afternoon? Come along to The Hive in Moniaive, open today 12 noon – 4pm, and enjoy a relaxed afternoon of art, creativity and community.

We are delighted to be hosting Kathleen Simpson’s beautiful solo art exhibition — a wonderful collection of original paintings inspired by colour, light and the natural world. Kathleen will be at The Hive today, so this is a lovely opportunity to meet the artist, chat about her work and see the exhibition in person.

You are warmly invited to the Launch Evening of Kathleen Simpson’s Solo Exhibition at Gallery at The Hive, Moniaive.

Kathleen’s expressive paintings are inspired by colour, light, landscape and the sea, with many works influenced by her time living in Shetland. Her exhibition brings together a beautiful collection of atmospheric landscapes, seascapes and still life paintings.

The exhibition runs from Saturday 16th May until Saturday 6th June 2026.

During the Spring Fling weekend we will also be opening additional days and extended hours:

• Saturday 23rd May — 10am–3pm
• Sunday 24th May — 12pm–4pm

🌿 Spring Exhibition at Gallery at The Hive 🌿

We’re delighted to welcome our Spring Exhibition, running from Friday 3rd April to Saturday 9th May 2026.

This exhibition brings together a wonderful mix of local artists, showcasing a wide variety of styles and mediums — from painting and photography to textile and mixed media. There’s something for everyone, whether you enjoy landscapes, colour, texture or more contemporary pieces.

Thank you to everyone who came along to the Preview Afternoon for the Thornhill Girls Art Exhibition at Gallery at The Hive on Saturday.

It was wonderful to see such a great turnout, with the gallery full of conversation, people enjoying the artwork, and a chance to meet the artists behind the exhibition. Events like this really remind us how supportive and vibrant the local arts community is.

A special thank you to Chris, Jackie and John for their help during the afternoon, we couldn’t of done it without you – it was very much appreciated.

If you weren’t able to make the preview, the Thornhill Girls Art Exhibition featuring work by Jacqueline Fraser, June Marchbank, Kathleen Simpson and Pauline Slater continues until Saturday 28th March, so there is still plenty of time to come along and see the work.

🎨 Gallery at The Hive – Winter Open Art Exhibition 🎨

Our Winter Open Exhibition is now underway at The Hive, showcasing a wonderful selection of artwork from talented local artists.
There’s a fantastic mix of styles on display, and the gallery has never looked better.
