We are delighted Angus will be returning to Bright Edges this year 🌟

Working from his home forge, Angus uses a combination of contemporary methods and traditional blacksmithing techniques dating back over 3,500 years. He employs an array of mixed metals and materials to manufacture ergonomic and eye catching pieces. Out of the forge comes functional home and kitchenware pieces, alongside architectural ironwork and furniture 🔥

We are excited to introduce who will be bringing her beautiful plant dyed garments to Bright Edges 🌺 🍁

Mandarin Earth is the creative work of Tracy Dalton, based in a beautiful valley in South Devon, combining the growing of flowers and dye plants with the traditional craft of natural dyeing and art. All the flowers are grown in harmony with the cycles of nature, following the complete process from seed to garment.
From sowing, planting, nurturing, harvesting, drying and pressing, the plants are used to transform carefully sourced vintage and second-hand natural fabrics, as well as organic cotton and wool socks, to create beautiful one-off unique designs. Each naturally dyed and botanically printed garment honours the earth and helps others reconnect with nature through wearable art.

Introducing another of the Bright Edges curators. Jess will be bringing a selection or her stunning wood and gas fired ceramics with her ❤️

Jess makes small-batch, functional pottery for everyday use. Her work pairs simple forms with playful textures and glazes, balancing practicality with subtle character. She primarily works in stoneware, exploring a range of firing processes and surface techniques with a hands-on, experimental approach. She is currently most excited by atmospheric firings—especially wood and gas—where the kiln’s flame and atmosphere shape each piece with unique, unrepeatable character.

We are excited to introduce .art one of our new makers. Sarah will be bringing her beautiful and unique prints with her next weekend 💜

"I am a Totnes-based printmaker with a love of nature and social history. I create prints using used Tetrapak cartons. It’s wonderful to give new life to a material that would usually be thrown away. It also fits well with my choice of inspiration; I often focus on buildings and landscapes that people may not initially see the beauty in, transient spaces, often invaded by self-seeding plants, yet full of abstract lines and interesting textures. Capturing the beauty of a place that is often completely overlooked and printing it on ‘rubbish’.
The current theme in my work is of my journey in the landscape, following the tracks of people gone before, the well-trodden paths."
