Springing into Spring at Bloomsbury House

Spring in Sheringham feels like a little secret. The days stretch out, the light changes, the town wakes up again, but without the hustle and bustle of summer. It’s fresh, easy, and quietly uplifting, and honestly it might be my favourite time to be here.

Bloomsbury House is perfect for this in between season. It’s the time when families finally get a date in the diary and actually make it happen, when friends say right, let’s just book something and catch up properly, or when you simply fancy a cosy weekend away by the sea, just because you can.

Bloomsbury House is our much-loved coastal retreat in Sheringham, a place made for gathering, resting, creating and reconnecting. There are few things more magic than a Summer evening in Cromer, and when the Disco on the Prom rolls around on Fridays and Sundays, it feels like stepping into your own seaside fairytale. Picture this: you’re dancing under the sky, the DJ spinning tracks that pull you in, laughter mingling with the sea air, and the sun sliding gently down beneath the cliffs. The theatre bar keeps the drinks flowing, you bring the energy, they bring the refreshment.

Only five miles from Sheringham, Cromer is easy to reach by train, bus, or if you’re feeling adventurous, a stroll along the beach. Once you’re there, the town’s full of seaside cafés and seafood shacks, gelato stands and fish & chips spots, or you can pack a picnic and find your perfect cliff-top nook.

Best of all? The disco is free (you pay just for the drinks). It’s joyful, cinematic, full of warm light and cool summer vibes.

No experience needed—just a sense of curiosity. We’ll work with colour, texture, intuition, and happy accidents. All materials are provided, along with a generous helping of cake and calm.

These sessions are joyful, freeing, and gently guided—perfect for complete beginners or seasoned makers in need of a creative reset.
