Creating a slab from some stoneware. Clay prepping it for a student that's coming to work this weekend coming. It will take a few days to dry out to leather hard so that it can be used for a base, a cutting board, some cookie cutters or make some shapes if she wants it that way.
There'll be a few options. Anyway, looking forward to having some fun. I really like to share the passion for the clay.

Making some cups. Unfortunately one of the handles was too dry and it broke. Haven't made many of these for a while. I'm going to surprised my dad and give him a few cups. It's three now. There was four. Now there's three..... Hahaha 🤣😂😎

This is a big fruit bowl that I made a few years ago. I've glazed it three times as it wasn't quite fully matured. The glaze that is and I gave up on it some while ago. It's about 5 or 6 years old. Has been sitting on my shelf for a long time and I just picked it up and revisited and decided to not look at the impurities and actually just look at it as a whole. The bigger picture routine should we say and I really like it. I sort of reevaluated and reassessed it, something I do more recently.
It has an imperfect process and I now can be a little bit more open-minded to the making And less critical!
Inspired by nature and always a moment based meditation.

Here's me and my spoons!
These wear an idea that I had. I've never made them before. I think I will make more because these will come out okay. It's a work in progress. I was messing around with my glazes as well so they're not quite as I want them but it's a start and I had one that broke in the firing that's all but that one came through alright. Like I said a work in progress.
Inspired by nature and when I'm working it's like a movement-based meditation. I do say this a lot as well but it's nice to mention and hopefully Inspire others to try!

Black clay

First firing that I've done with black clay! Glaze firing and some of it has come out alright!
Some of it's come out like I didn't expect some of the colours have been burnt off.
It's quite a gritty surface but it's interesting. I will work with it.
I'm going to obviously do some more tests as I have a couple of large bowls that I'm going to glaze and a plate when I'm happy with the way the glazers are going to come out! I think I shall do one in yellow!
And that's a work in progress so we'll see how it goes........
Inspired by nature
