Cumberland 353 (GRM353L), our 1973 Leyland National climbing Bransty Brow, above Whitehaven. ERM35K (Cumberland 350) the first National to enter public service climbed this hill all day everyday when placed on the 05 Town Service from early 1972. 3 May, 2026

🚍✨ What a weekend…

What a fantastic two days it’s been at the Clash of the Titans Transport Festival!

The weather has been incredible ☀️, the atmosphere even better, and it’s been so lovely to be back in the beautiful town of Whitehaven.

We’ve loved meeting so many new faces, catching up with familiar ones, and serving you all from the Albion Bus Bar 🍻

A huge thank you to our wonderful customers for your support — and to the amazing event organisers for putting on such a brilliant weekend 👏

Cumberland 353 (GRM353L) our 1973 Leyland National tackles Bransty Brow with ease. This long, steep climb which terminated high above the Irish Sea was formerly the northern end of the 05 Town Service which crossed Whitehaven from Hensingham. ERM35K, the first Leyland National to enter public service, operated all day everyday day on this route following its handover to Cumberland in 1972. 3.5.2026
