Being in nature is so important for our wellbeing. Our modern lifestyles separate us from who we really are — a part of nature.
As an artist, I want to help you find your way back to nature. Imagine a painting of the forest on your living room wall — almost like to window looking out to the natural world.
What would this do for you?
How do you think it would make you feel?
If you already enjoy walking in nature, would it immerse you in the feelings of actually being there?
Let me know in the comments. I want to paint what helps others.

Sometimes the smallest details stay with us the longest.
What’s the first thing your eye is drawn to here?

Some images arrive carrying a quiet intelligence — a sense of awareness and presence that doesn’t need explanation.

That’s what I’m drawn to follow when I paint, and what I hope the work brings into a space.

I don’t begin a painting by planning every detail.

The image arrives first in my mind — sometimes fully formed, sometimes just hints of what it wants to be. I follow that lead and allow the painting to unfold.

This way of working allows me to create pieces that feel intuitive and alive — paintings that carry presence rather than something forced or overworked like this painting called Lightbearer.

There’s so much to do, so much to think about, and so many expectations pulling at us from every direction.

I paint wildlife, forests, and the ocean because these are the places where my body remembers how to slow down and breathe more deeply.

Bringing those spaces into a home can feel like a small act of restoration — a quiet counterbalance to a busy world.

When you need a reset, do you feel more restored by forests, the sea, or something else entirely? I’d really like to know! Please comment with your answer.

Hello, I'm Jill.

I paint wildlife and nature-inspired work because these spaces help us slow down, breathe more deeply, and feel grounded in our homes.

I'm glad you're here.
