🚂 SUNDAY STEAM UP! 🔥

This Sunday, come and see our historic engines come to life! ⚙️
From 2–4pm, our volunteer engineers will be putting the steam engines through their paces — turning, moving, hissing and working just as they were designed to do over 100 years ago.
It’s one thing to see them in the Museum… but seeing them working under steam is something completely different! 👀

One special night. One magical evening. 🌙

This Friday, 18th September, the doors of Steam Museum will be open from 6–9pm as part of Culture Night — and the Walled Garden will transform after dark, taking on a whole new atmosphere beneath beautiful evening lights. ✨🌿

Come and explore the Museum in a different light, wander through the illuminated Walled Garden, and enjoy a unique evening surrounded by history, heritage and a little bit of magic.

And of course, Steam Museum Café will also be open from 6–9pm, serving our traditional favourites alongside some delicious dinner specials. ☕🍽️

Listen closely… you might recognise this one. 👀⚙️

Before finding its way to the Steam Museum, this engine had a very different job…

It once worked at the Jameson Wh***ey Distillery, helping power the production of one of Ireland’s most famous exports. 🥃🇮🇪

Today, our engineer brings it back to life — and for a moment, this piece of industrial history is working again, just as it did all those years ago.

And yes… it still knows how to make an entrance. 🔧💨
