Godna Art from Chattisgarh - Episode 9
Godna is a tribal art from Chhattisgarh and in this painting, I have tried to capture the specific motifs of this art form. I am on a mission to paint all the folk art from India and this is my tribute to the state of Chhattisgarh. So far, we have painted.Aipan art, Bani Thani, Kolam, Kangra painting, Cheriyal scrolls, Madhubani and other arts. Follow along on my journey as I take you through Art from india’s heart.

Godna Painting from Chattisgarh - Episode 9 of my Indian Folk Art series
Did you know Godna painting originated as Tatoo art among the tribal communities of Chhattisgarh and Bihar many years ago. This was a symbol of identity, right to access, and a symbolic jewellery for women which cannot be taken away even after death.
this is episode nine of my Indian folk art series. I am on the mission to paint all the Indian art which comes from different corners of our country. So far in the previous episodes, I have painted Aipan, Madhubani, Bhil art, Bani Thani , Kalighat painting , Kangra painting and Kolam art. Join me as we paint the Indian Art story together !!

Kangra Style of Painting - Episode 7 of my Folk Art series
This is a very delicate form of art which uses soft colour palette and natural pigments. In this video. Kollam Art - Episode 6 of Indian Folk Art series . Kollam art is a beautiful traditional art form from South India (specifically Tamil Nadu) where it is done outside the homes on the floor !! There are various kinds of Kollam art (Sikku Kollam, Pulli Kollam and others )

We are still in Jan so it’s not too late to post a wrap up of 2024.. I thank the universe for everything that came my way!! I am grateful to all the people who connected with me during the year!!
Sharing my top 10 highlights from 2024..

there were lowlights too.. many times during the year when I felt stressed, overwhelmed, nervous, fearful, anxious, ended up in hospital too so if this post reaches you, it’s a reminder that social media only shows one side of the story.. try to find the good in whatever you do, and brave through the difficult moments .. wishing for a good 2025 for everyone

My 10 Highlights …

1. Converted my balcony into a dedicated space for painting.. I always wanted to do it !!
2. Brother’s wedding in Nagpur, I was sooo happy for him
3. Decided to share my personality through videos, reels, even started a YouTube channel, i am glad I did.. It did wonders to my confidence
4. Dubai trip.. first trip with full family and I am lucky to have everyone who loves me around me
5. Achieved 10k followers on Instagram.. it’s unbelievable and I am thankful to everyone who chose to follow me
6. Danced on stage
7. Surprised my sis by booking an unplanned flight and celebrated Navratri with my sis and mom
8.Another year of growing old together
9. Benaras.. this has always been on my bucket list forever .. I absolutely loved this trip
10. Decided to move on from a company where I spent a decade of my life.. my birthday was my farewell day.. the decision was not easy at all.. but I gathered the courage to anyway say good bye and move on !!
