Among the many layers of the City Palace, Jaipur, are its gateways, each built with its own character.

The Riddhi-Siddhi Pol opens into Pritam Niwas Chowk, patterned with jaalis and floral carving. The Khasa Pol, or Special Gateway, links the palace to the private residences of the royal family. The Rajendra Pol, set between Mubarak Mahal and Sarvato Bhadra, is marked by its marble elephants, installed in 1931 to celebrate the birth of His Highness Brigadier Maharaja Sawai Bhawani Singh.

Each gateway carries its own story, and you are sure to leave with a favourite.
