ABU JALAL ( SINGAPORE)
Abu Jalal is the third generation of Singapore’s artist. He paints as an expression of his love for exploring the world’s richness and beauty. Engaging in his profession full-time, he considers painting a therapeutic and meditative process, a form of selfless and beautiful act akin to a spiritual journey. He immerses himself in the realm of colors, portraying diverse subjects with intellectual inclinations and comical compositions.
As the Founder ASEAN International Art Stream (AIAS), Freedom & Love International Art Group (F&L), Vice President for Modern Art Society Singapore (MASS) and a key member of various art societies, he actively organised and participated in various art events globally. Abu Jalal practices Social Commentary art, often challenging viewers to decipher the hidden meanings within his creations. Renowned for his Big Nose Series and bold colours, he has received prestigious accolades, including the UOB Gold Award Painting of the Year 2017.
With a penchant for travel, sketching, reading, and writing, Abu Jalal’s works reflect his sharp observations and conceptual expressions, transforming common ideas with a fundamental concern for society, the environment, and humanity. His global presence spans solo exhibitions and participation in numerous art events worldwide, leaving an indelible mark on the international art scene. In the words of Pablo Picasso, Abu Jalal strives to transform a mere spot into the radiant sun through the transformative power of art.
