A great collector of Italian design masterpieces and curious towards all objects, her work is based on observation and research, plumbing the potential of the shapes, functions and going beyond the traditional relations between fashion, art and design and embedding a passionate interest for the old and the new, the traditional and the contemporary in her projects, she develops creative solutions a
nd freely plays with ideas. Common features to all projects are defined geometry and rigorous research, combined with a subtle play on the impact of traditional forms. Through variations of scale and small inventions, the objects are able to convey new messages and different meanings. In 2005 she graduated from Iuav in Venice with fullmarks in Architecture and started working with a number of architecture studios, before shifting her attention to Interior architecture and design. In 2009 she moved to Milan where she founded her own design brand under the name “Attico Design”, which produces lamps and furniture characterized by a deep research on materials and shapes. In 2012 she was selected to take part in the Salone Satellite and after this experience Attico products have been exhibited in several international galleries and showrooms. The product Atomizers, produced by Seletti, becomes part of the Permanent collection of Italian Design by Triennale Museum of Milan. Her work currently spans from limited editions for design galleries and museums, to special commissions for outstanding brands. She works as a creative director and as an architect she is engaged in challenging interior and exhibition projects. In 2016 Cristina is awarded with the special jury prize at Salone del Mobile. In the same year, in occasion of DesignMiami/, Cristina designs "The Happy Room" collection for FENDI. In April 2016 her project Plumage won the Edida Elle Decor best wall-covering. She works and lives in Milan.
