Roberto Crippa, Spirale, 1951

A night walk through the streets of Naples, getting lost among its alleys... and everything began.

On June 12, Where It All Began, Adam Handler’s first Italian artist residency, came to its conclusion.

Developed by Trium Art Gallery & noh-art and under the artistic direction of Ernesto Esposito, the project marked the artist’s return to a place deeply connected to his early formation.

During his first evening in the city, a solitary walk through Naples became the starting point for a new body of work: a series of black-and-white works on paper, followed by nine paintings that absorb the atmosphere, memory and visual intensity of the city.

The residency unfolded through a private gathering at the home of Ernesto Esposito, where a selection of the new works was presented (highlights from the evening will be shared soon), and concluded with an Open Studio on June 12, offering collectors, curators, journalists and friends the opportunity to enter the artist’s working environment.

Bringing Adam Handler to Italy for the first time, at a significant moment in his international career and ahead of an important exhibition programme, marks the beginning of a new chapter in the artist’s relationship with the country that played such a defining role in his early years.

Gianfranco Baruchello developed a visual language unlike any other, where images, symbols and fragments of thought coexist in a complex network of associations.

Lackadaisical attitudes in heart organic surgery, 1969, belongs to the period in which his practice moved beyond traditional painting, creating mental landscapes that continue to challenge conventional ways of seeing.

Ibrahim Ballo at MUCEM, Marseille.

Presented within “Mossi Traoré, la mode aussi” at the MUCEM - Musée des Civilisations de l’Europe et de la Méditerranée, Ibrahim Ballo’s work enters into a dialogue between contemporary art, fashion, craftsmanship and cultural memory.

Through painting, textile language and material experimentation, Ballo develops a visual vocabulary that bridges contemporary expression with ancestral narratives, extending beyond the canvas into wearable form.
