Women in Louvre II — Exhibition Highlights

What does it mean to rewrite art history — and to witness it happening in real time?

Women in Louvre II brings together a powerful generation of women artists, entering into dialogue with one of the most historically significant institutions in the world. Not as a gesture, but as a statement — one that reclaims space, visibility, and narrative.

Across the exhibition, there is a palpable energy. Distinct practices, diverse voices — yet a shared intention: to reshape how women are seen, remembered, and positioned within the history of art.

With over 30,000 visitors and strong media attention, this moment extended far beyond the walls of the Louvre — resonating with collectors, curators, and audiences who recognise its significance.

Because this is more than an exhibition.
It is a movement.

Art history, rewritten by women.

This is not a conclusion — it is a beginning.

Women in Louvre II continues to take shape beyond the exhibition space — as a platform where women artists actively redefine presence, authorship, and cultural narrative.

Set in Paris, the project brings together 26 artists across six continents, not as a theme, but as a collective shift in perspective.

Alongside the exhibition, selected works extended into an educational dialogue — with students from Cranbrook Schools engaging with Mini Mukherjee’s Joy Bodies through interpretation and response.

A reminder that what we build is not only seen, but carried forward.

This is not a moment. It’s a movement.

From Paris to the world — featured on .

Women in Louvre II is not just an exhibition. It’s a movement.

A space where women artists are no longer on the margins —
but at the center of the conversation.

In a historically limited narrative, this project opens new ground.

Visibility becomes presence.
Presence becomes impact.

To every artist involved — this is your moment, and a collective one.
You are shaping how art is seen, understood, and remembered.

And this is just the beginning.

What does this moment mean to you?

Simona Ray’s work is part of Women in Louvre II, Paris 10–12 April — an exhibition celebrating the vision and stories of selected international women artists. A poet-painter mapping Jungian individuation through Greek mythology, her intuitive canvases ask one lifelong question — do you see what I see? — and make that search hauntingly, beautifully visible.
