We will be screening the first cut of ‘Henry at 90’ by Taiwanese Filmmaker Reese Peng (Reese//凱彣 at Okuba on Sunday, September 6th at 16:30. Q&A with the filmmaker to follow. Free admissions, tips accepted.
Synopsis:
Set in Taiwan, ‘Henry at 90’ is a slow cinema poetic documentary that follows 3 days in the life of nonagenarian Henry Peng. Through walks, meals, dreams, and TV time, watch the filmmaker/grandchild watch Henry interact with the modern world. It is a rhythmic and hypnotic film with an undercurrent of numinous yearning, and deals with the phenomenology of being old.
