このたび msb gallery では、稲垣直子の個展「人生は瞬間のつながり−Life is a series of movements」を開催いたします。

日常生活や旅先での気づきや大切な瞬間を写真を通して表現しています。
本展では、自ら漉いた和紙に写すさまざまな場所の時の記憶や、自然との関わりにより感じている心の有様を表そうと試みた作品群を展示いたします。

ぜひこの機会にご高覧いただければ嬉しく思います。

msb gallery is pleased to present “Life is a series of movements”, a solo exhibition by Naoko Inagaki Krell.

She expresses through photography the insights and precious moments found in daily life and during her travels.

This exhibition features a collection of works in which she attempts to capture memories of time spent in various locations—printed onto handmade *washi* paper—and to convey the state of her heart as shaped by her connection with nature.

We hope you will come to see it.

※Opening reception will be held on the first day from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
※The artist is scheduled to be in the gallery on Oct.3, 4, 7, 8, 10 and 11.

このたび msb gallery では、 マルゴー ベールの個展「Phénomène -Genshô (現象)-」を開催いたします。

ベルギー、ブリュッセルを拠点に活動するマルゴー ベールは、紙を自在に操り、立体的なペーパーアートを制作しています。鳥、魚、昆虫、花々、その他様々ないきもの達をモチーフに、独自の物語を織り込んで、詩的な作品へと昇華させています。

日本・ベルギー友好160周年を記念する公式プログラムの一環として開催される本展では、日本の紙とヨーロッパの紙を用いて、植物と動物の間の突然変異という「現象」の概念をもとに制作した作品群を発表いたします。
多くの皆様にマルゴーの創造性溢れる優美な世界をお楽しみいただければ嬉しく思います。

msb gallery is pleased to present “Phénomènes – Genshō ” a solo exhibition by Margaux Baert.

Based in Brussels, Belgium, she creates three-dimensional paper art by freely transforming paper into poetic creations, weaving unique stories into images of birds, fish, insects, flowers and a variety of other creatures.

This exhibition, featured as part of the official program celebrating the 160th anniversary of friendship between Japan and Belgium,, showcases a series of works created using both Japanese and European papers.
It explores the concept of a "Phenomenon" specifically, a mutation occurring between the plant and animal realm.
We hope you will enjoy her universe of graceful creativity.

このたび msb gallery では、森本太郎の個展「わたしのパレイドリア」を開催いたします。

森本のペインティングは、写真画像から抽出した色や形をもとに、製菓用の道具を使ったユニークな方法で描かれています。
抽象化されたイメージは、鑑賞者に多様な解釈を委ねており、画面の凹凸が反転して見えるなど、本来のモチーフから遠く離れた別の何かを想起させます。

本展のタイトルに冠した「パレイドリア」とは、不完全な視覚情報を脳が補完し、既知の事物へと置き換える錯覚現象を指します。

本展で発表される新作群を前にして、各々の鑑賞者が想像力を揺さぶられ、眼前のイメー ジが新たなる被写体へと変容してゆく、その未知なる視覚体験をお楽しみいただければ嬉しく思います。

※会期中毎日時間未定にて作家在廊を予定しております。

msb gallery is pleased to present “My pareidolia” a solo exhibition by Taro Morimoto.

His paintings are created based on the colors and forms that he has extracted from the photo-images with his unique techniques using baking tools.
The abstracted image leaves room for diverse interpretations by the viewer, evoking something entirely different from the original motif such as an illusion where the surface’s relief appears inverted.

The term “pareidolia," featured in the title of this exhibition, refers to a phenomenon of visual illusion in which the brain fills in incomplete visual information and interprets it as a familiar object.

We hope that faced with the new works, your imagination will be stirred, allowing you to enjoy an unknown visual experience in which the images before your eyes transform into entirely new subjects.

*The artist is schedule to be in the gallery sometime every day (times undecided) during the exhibition.

このたび msb gallery では、PAPER BRUTの個展「I am here」を開催いたします。

PAPER BRUTは新潟を拠点に身の回りの植物や樹皮から紙や造形物を作りだし、その作品の幅は広く、原料となる植物の栽培からデザインまでを手掛けています。
PAPER “BRUT”はフランス語で 「生（き）のままの」紙を意味し、伝統的な技法からのオマージュ、植物の特性を生かした造形を生み出しています。

本展では、近年新たな試みとして取り組んでいる、植物から色を抽出した顔料を用いて描いた作品群を展示いたします。
彼らの作品を通して、確かに存在している身近ないきもののチカラを感じて対話をお楽しみいただければ嬉しく思います。

msb gallery is pleased to present “I am here”, a solo exhibition by PAPER BRUT.

Based in Niigata, they create paper and objects from plants and bark found surrounding them.
They make a wide range of works, and handle all processes from cultivating raw materials to
designing.
PAPER “BRUT”, which means "raw” paper in French, creates forms that take advantage of the
characteristics of natural plants in homage to traditional techniques.

This exhibition showcases a group of works created using pigments extracted from plants, a new approach they have been exploring in recent years.

We hope you will feel the power of familiar living creatures that truly exist around us and enjoy a dialogue with them through their works.

※The artists are scheduled to be in the gallery on July 9 and 10.
