biscuit gallery の出版部門 biscuit books より刊行される、網代幸介 初の本格作品集『Kingdom of Sally』の刊行記念展です。

タイトルの「Loro」は、網代が描き続けてきたサリー王国の神話における創造の神ロロの名。同時期にニューヨークの GR gallery で開催される米国初個展「Excavation Record I – Sayonara」が王国の終わりをテーマとするのに対し、本展はその対となるはじまりへと遡ります。10年をかけて発掘されてきた王国の断片が、一冊の本と、biscuit gallery の展示室にて展開されます。

作品集は、biscuit gallery の会場およびオンラインストアにてお買い求めいただけます。会期中、網代 さんはギャラリーに滞在し、ライブ制作を行います。

This exhibition celebrates the release of the art book Kingdom of Sally, the first major publication by Kosuke Ajiro, published by biscuit books. The book is available for purchase at the gallery and online via the biscuit gallery online store.

“Loro” is the god of creation in the mythology of the Kingdom of Sally, the world Ajiro has been depicting for a decade. While his first US solo exhibition, Excavation Record I – Sayonara, held at GR gallery in New York during the same period, tells of the kingdom’s end, this exhibition traces back to its beginning. Fragments unearthed over ten years unfold here — in a single book, and in the gallery.

Throughout the exhibition period the artist will be at the gallery completing a live artwork.

このたび biscuit gallery は、長野県軽井沢町の旧軽井沢・テニスコート通りに、新しい拠点「biscuit gallery Over/Under」を開きます。1階を展示室、2階をアーティスト・イン・レジデンス施設とした2層構成で、軽井沢の自然環境のなかで作家の滞在制作や展示を支える拠点として運営いたします。

2026年9月、biscuit gallery にて松本崇宏の個展「Remain / Still」を開催いたします。当ギャラリーでは2024年の個展「see you again」以来、2年ぶりの個展となります。

松本崇宏は楠を彫り、アクリル絵具・油絵具・鉛筆・木炭で彩色した人物像を制作する彫刻家です。松本が創り出す独特の像は、静かでありながら見る者の視線を長くとどめる強さを持っています。

木を彫る。削ぎ落とす。

そのプリミティブな行為の中から現れる人の姿は、特定の誰かではない。それは人間という存在の像であり、同時に、彫るという行為を通して立ち現れる私自身の写像でもある。

削ぎ落とした先に残るもの。
不安定さの中で均衡を保ちながら、静かに在り続けるもの。

ただ、そこに在ることで、鑑賞者が自らの存在と静かに向き合う時間を生み出すことを願っている。

This September, biscuit gallery will present “Remain / Still,” a solo exhibition by Takahiro Matsumoto. It is his first solo show at the gallery in two years, following “see you again” in 2024.

Takahiro Matsumoto is a sculptor who carves camphor wood and colours his figures with acrylic, oil paint, pencil and charcoal. The distinctive figures he brings into being are quiet, and yet they hold the viewer’s gaze far longer than their stillness would suggest.

Carving wood. Stripping it away.

The human figure that emerges from this primitive act is no specific person. It is an image of human existence itself—and simultaneously, a reflection of my own self, brought to light through the act of carving.

What remains after everything is pared down.
That which quietly abides, maintaining its balance within instability.

I hope that, simply by existing there, it creates a space for viewers to quietly reflect on their own existence.
