Dear art enthusiasts,
We are excited to announce the launch of "Art Auction X" on April 1 from 2:00 pm to 3:30 pm – the very first art auction in Arakan, initiated by Arakan Art Gallery. Our primary goal is to promote art and establish a flourishing art community in the region, while also cultivating a deeper appreciation for the beauty and impact of art.
"Art Auction X" features a collection of carefully curated contemporary artworks created by both emerging and established artists from Myanmar and beyond. This presents a unique opportunity to acquire exceptional pieces of art that reflect the cultural diversity and richness of our region.
In addition, "Art Auction X" aims to extend our network and collaborate with artists, collectors, and galleries both locally and internationally to organize more art auctions beyond Myanmar. This will help create a global platform for artists to showcase their talent and provide collectors with access to a wider range of unique artworks.
This auction is more than just a commercial event. It is an opportunity for us to gather as a community and celebrate the transformative power of art. We are proud to announce that all the proceeds from the auction will be donated to a local charity organization.
If you are new to art auctions, let us guide you through the process. The auction starts with a preview of the artworks that will be offered for sale. Potential buyers can inspect the condition of the artwork, ask questions, and decide on which pieces they are interested in bidding on.
To participate in the auction, you need to register and receive a bidding number before the auction begins. The auctioneer calls out an opening bid for each artwork, and interested buyers can bid against each other to acquire the artwork. The highest bidder at the end of the auction wins the artwork.
