WHOSE MUSEUM invites you to a feast with artists Sahar Alkhateeb and Patrick Cruz!
Both artists have been associates of the international art collective, WHOSE MUSEUM, and now return to the gallery to host a Kitchen Codex event together as part of the retrospective WHOSE MUSEUM: WAS HERE that is held at multiple venues across town.
Kitchen Codex is a collaborative social sculpture and communal performance by Patrick Cruz for which participants from the local community are asked to donate a personal recipe in any language in exchange for a meal at this event prepared and served by both artists. While Cruz prepares a Filipino meal, Alkhateeb contributes the dessert. Using food as a vessel for sharing knowledge and as a means to view and reflect on personal and collective histories, the event aims to bridge the ritual of communal eating and sharing cultural awareness through the digestion of history and the joint solidarity of cultural appreciation during times of socio-political divisiveness.
Come eat with us!
The event is a collaboration between WHOSE MUSEUM and KONSTITORI.
