Childhood should be a space of freedom, innocence, and discovery. In this piece, I explore the quiet realities many children carry within them—stories often unseen yet deeply present.

The patterned body symbolizes the structures and environments that shape a child’s identity, while the face remains honest, vulnerable, and human. It reminds us that behind every social narrative is a real life, a real story, and a future still unfolding.

Through this work, I invite viewers to reflect on the resilience of children and the responsibility we share in creating a world where their voices are seen, heard, and protected.

Oil and acrylic on canvas. Unseen, Yet Present.”

This piece was born from a reflection on children left without care — children who carry deep, unspoken pain in their eyes.

The darkness within the face represents emotional neglect and invisible trauma. The white hood surrounding the child symbolizes purity, protection, and the fragile hope that still exists despite abandonment.

There is no dramatic gesture here — only stillness. A quiet resilience. A presence that demands to be acknowledged.

This work invites the viewer to confront what society often overlooks: the silent weight carried by vulnerable lives. It asks us not just to look, but to truly see.

For collectors and curators, this piece sits at the intersection of social consciousness and contemporary portraiture — a conversation on identity, empathy, and responsibility.

TITTLE: “Post No Bills: Her Story Will Not Be Silenced”
MEDIUM : OIL AND ACRYLIC ON CANVAS
SIZE: 100cm x 100cm
YEAR: 2025
AMOUNT: Make an offer and it’s yours.

In “Post No Bills,” the figure of a young woman emerges from a backdrop where warnings to silence and suppress are ironically layered with posters exposing the horrors of human trafficking. Her gaze is steady—not of a victim, but of someone whose story demands to be heard. The wall’s “POST NO BILLS” command becomes an act of defiance as her presence itself becomes a protest poster. This painting speaks to the erasure of marginalized voices, especially women trapped in cycles of exploitation, and boldly reclaims public space for their narratives.

Symbolic Elements:

- The Woman’s Expression:

A black woman with a calm face but solemn, with a subtle depth in her eyes, hinting at a hidden story or pain. hence her neck slightly bent and mouth pouted, proving to whomever, that she is present and impossible to be ignored.
This painting symbolize invisibility of trauma.

-The Wall Text and Stickers
(POST NO BILLS) is to stop public posting of fliers but ironically, i posted a bills as an act of rebellion against silence.

The “HOUSE 25, indicate a specific location of a safe house. This is showing a survivor in a tensed environment. A woman that’s ready to challenge anyone

-Color use
The yellow and brown tones divide the canvas almost like two worlds, representing the contrast between public facade vs private reality.

Her dress is printed with dark leopard. A nod to wildness tamed, loss of freedom, while leopard skin spiritually symbolizes guidance, strength, and clarity

This painting aims to amplify the voices of trafficked women. showing their humanity, beauty, and pain.
