fun fact: some of my pieces sat as drafts in my sketchbook for 1-3 years before i finalized and put them out there

so yep, don't get rid of your drafts. at the very least, keep digital copies ;-)

We make museums out of our bodies and our art, built on corridors and corridors of half-finished self-portraits and stories that stop mid-sentence. Take a flashlight and explore. And, of course, don’t delete that first draft.

My greatest plot twist of 2025! 💕✨🌈
For the very first time, I’ll be releasing a children’s book that I both wrote and illustrated! I started working on this story back in 2019, and I’m so happy that it has finally been picked up for publishing. Super exciting! 💖

kinda fumbled my day 1 of 2026, so i decided that january 2's gonna be my new new year.

half of 2025 was spent trying to rekindle my dying creative flame, and the rest of it was honoring my need for rest and more time to recover from burnout. my relationship with my art has been among the longest and most enriching ones i've had, and i don't want to end up resenting it. i want to nurture it, grow in it, be happy, and make others happy with it.

for many of us, 2026 is not a year of starting over, and i'm glad that the same is true for my art. i've always felt this pressure to show up with finished pieces, scared that if i show my WIPs, i'd end up jinxing the process and never finishing my artwork. i'm bringing a lot of wips from the past years to remind myself that i have worked hard—slowly, but with persistence. i'm not starting from scratch, i'm building up on the effort i put in and banking on the love and support that have brought me here.
