Since we are celebrating “Women’s Month”, ARTtorney's Art Gallery would like to share the story behind our featured painting entitled “Diskarte.”

This artwork is inspired by the real-life story of Ma’am Joanna Richelle Buñag Villanueva, a woman who fulfills many roles in our society, a dedicated public school teacher, a loving wife, a daughter, a sister, a colleague, and a friend. Above all, she is a hardworking and determined woman who manages her time wisely.

Beyond her responsibilities as a teacher, she also pursues her passion for baking pastries, sweets, and customized cakes. Through her dedication and creativity, she proves that it is possible to earn while doing something you truly love.

This Women’s Month, we celebrate and salute strong and “madiskarteng babae” like you, Ma’am Joanna. Your story is an inspiration to many. 🌸✨

This painting I created, titled “I Am…” is currently on display and available for purchase at the Office of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan of Quezon. It is part of our art exhibit, “Hindi Babae Lang,” held in celebration of Women’s Month, a tribute to the strength, identity, and stories of women beyond labels.
