Authorized Agent Thérèse of the Child Jesus was consecrated and re-dedicated on May 17, 2007 to promote the Spirituality of St. Thérèse and to enliven the devotion to her among the faithful of the Military Ordinariate of the Philippines and their dependents. It stands at the former location of St. Michael
the Archangel Chapel of Nichols Airbase. In 1983, the same Church was dedicated to St. Thérèse of the Child Jesus. In April 2000, the former President Joseph Estrada signed the Deed of Usufruct which entrusted the location to teh Military Ordinariate of the Philippines. In January 2007, His Eminence, Gaudencio Cardinal Rosales, Archbishop of Manila reaffirmed the permission granted to the Military Bishop by the late Jaime Cardinal Sin to hold liturgical celebrations and gatherings of the Military Ordinariate at the Shrine. On the day of its consecration, Most Rev. Leopoldo Tumulak, Military Bishop, declared the Shrine of St. Thérèse as a Diocesan Shrine of the Military Ordinariate of the Philippines. Thérèse Columbarium houses close to 38,000 imported vaults or niches. Each vault can fit up to four urns. The Columbarium has five (5) main areas: La Chapelle des Roses or the Remembering Chapel, La Vie de Sainte Therese or The Life of Saint Therese,
Les Murs de Lisieux (The Walls of Lisieux), Les Murs d' Alencon (The Walls of Alencon) and Les Murs de Carmel (The Walls of Carmel). The Columbarium also features an Ecclesiastical Museum where art about the life of St. Thérèse are displayed. The Archive of Memories, a virtual video library is also available for those who want to reminisce moments with their departed loved ones.
