A exposição “Dance Among Thorns”, patente no MUNCH, em Oslo, Noruega, apresenta um vasto conjunto de obras de Paula Rego (1935–2022) e constitui a primeira grande exposição retrospectiva em contexto museológico nos países nórdicos dedicada à artista luso-britânica.
Entre as obras expostas encontram-se várias pertencentes à Colecção Manuel de Brito, visíveis nas imagens. O conjunto evidencia a diversidade técnica da artista — do desenho e da pintura à colagem e à escultura têxtil — bem como o universo narrativo, simbólico e psicológico que atravessa a sua obra.

The exhibition “Dance Among Thorns”, presented at the MUNCH in Oslo, Norway, features a substantial selection of works by Paula Rego (1935–2022) and marks the first major museum retrospective in the Nordic countries dedicated to the Portuguese-British artist.
Among the works on display are several from the Manuel de Brito Collection, visible in the images. The selection highlights the artist’s technical diversity — from drawing and painting to collage and textile sculpture — as well as the narrative, symbolic, and psychological dimension that permeates her work.
