awings by Marion Beaupère. In addition to the personal exhibitions dedicated to them, the gallery holds, several times a year, collective exhibitions conceived around specific themes. Focused on the question of the transversality of arts, the gallery often hosts live performances executed by artists, dancers, musicians and actors. In 2012, the Geraldine Banier gallery created the exhibition-circuit « Bizarro at Saint Germain ». Thanks to its success, the event has become an annual event. Inspired by the curiosities cabinet of Modern period, « Bizarro at Saint Germain » gathers about ten galleries and bookshops, from the Saint Pères street to the Bonaparte street, who share their collections and art works specifically created for this event : contemporary artworks, rare handwritten books, old photos, masterpieces of the nature…
In October, 2014, the third edition of « Bizarro at Saint Germain » had as its theme « Aphrodisia ». This exploration of the science of desire took the most varied forms. The curator, Sinziana Ravini, wrote for this occasion an exhibition novel. The works of twenty five young artists, recent graduate of the Parisan Fine arts school, were displayed in the various sites : videos, drawings, paintings, photos and installations which all translated in their own way their vision of love and desire. In this esthetic of the curiosities cabinet, the gallery is a real laboratory, an incubator for young talents which opens its space to an engaged reflection close to that of the researcher which materializes its discoveries in ideas-conveying objects. La Galerie Géraldine Banier est née en 2010. Lieu de découverte et de confrontations inédites, elle présente une vingtaine d'artistes contemporains issus de la scène émergente. La galerie privilégie la pluralité des langages artistiques. Elle n'a de cesse de les faire dialoguer. Les sculptures en bronze de Maguy Banq y côtoient les vanités en plumes de Laurence Le Constant, les impressions photographiques sur bâche de Cyril Le Van, les armes désarmantes de féminité de la plasticienne Francesca Gagliardi, La Porte de l'Enfer en plâtre de Jung Min Choi ou encore les dessins au rotring de Marion Beaupère. Aux expositions personnelles qui leur sont consacrées, s'ajoutent, plusieurs fois par an, des expositions collectives conçues autour de thèmes-fils conducteurs. Très attachée à la transversalité des arts, la galerie accueille fréquemment des performances d’artistes, de danseurs, de musiciens et d’acteurs. En 2012, la Galerie Géraldine Banier a créé l'exposition-parcours Bizarro à Saint-Germain. Fort de son succès, l'événement est devenu un rendez-vous annuel. Inspiré par les cabinets de curiosité de l'époque Moderne, Bizarro à Saint-Germain, réunit une dizaine de galeries et librairies de la rue des Saint-Pères à la rue Bonaparte qui mettent en commun leurs collections et travaux réalisés pour l'événement ; œuvres d'art, livres rares, manuscrits, photographies anciennes, chefs d'œuvres de la nature...
En octobre 2014, la troisième édition de Bizarro à Saint-Germain se donnait pour thème Aphrodisia. Cette exploration de la science du désir prenait les formes les plus variées. La curatrice, Sinziana Ravini, écrivit pour l'occasion un roman d'exposition. Les travaux de vingt cinq jeunes plasticiens, tout juste diplômés des Beaux-Arts, étaient présentés dans les différents sites : des vidéos, des dessins, des peintures, des photographies et des installations qui toutes à leur manière traduisaient leur vision de l'amour et du désir. Dans cette esthétique du cabinet de curiosité, la galerie est un véritable laboratoire, une pépinière foisonnante de jeune artistes qui ouvre son espace à une réflexion engagée proche de celle du chercheur qui matérialise ses découvertes dans des objets passeurs d’idées.
