Both of them graduated from Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA) after completing their secondary education, with Oh Chai Hoo entering NAFA after completing his national duties with the Singapore Armed Forces. They are local home-grown artists who were born in an age of global change in ideology, and technology, giving them unique insight into life, which they, in turn, infuse into their art. Works
of both Chai Hoo & Chon Hee are very much inspired by nature and the forces of the natural world, this is shown by the portrayal of the physical world in their works, examples can be seen in Chai Hoo's Seed Series (Ceramics), and the more recent Stone Series (Black Pigment on Rice Paper). Another example is the title of their most recent artistic showcase as a couple, their first public collaborative exhibition - Song of Nature.
